Experience Enhanced Functionality and New Look with Jupiter - 2.8.5

Cairo – Egypt on June 2004 - ASSET Technology announces a new release for Jupiter, 2.8.5, that introduces tremendous changes in the look and feel, functionality and usability of Jupiter.

With the new Jupiter release, 2.8.5, ASSET has added many features that offer new functionality and enhance usability of the overall product. These enhancements include:

Jupiter New Look and Feel - Jupiter 2.8.5 provides a newly designed web interface; pages, fonts and colors can be customized using the cascaded style sheet (CSS)

Portal Page New URL Component - Provides the ability to include external web applications and sites to be displayed within Jupiter’s Portal interface

Concurrent Access - Provides the ability to access Jupiter items in read mode while they’re opened by other users in write mode. In addition to creating folders or documents while the parent folder is opened in read mode

Advanced Search prompt fields - Provides the facility to set names to the prompt fields

New Security privileges - New security privileges are added to make full control over all the available functions. The new set contains privileges for Queries, workflow, printing, ...etc.

Switch Interface Language - Jupiter language interface can now be changed from the portal page without having to sign out/in to switch to the other language

Text Direction of Index Data - According to the login language; the Index Class viewer shows the right direction of its text (Right to Left for Arabic and Left to Right for English)

Items Page size - A new option is added to Jupiter settings to define how many items to be displayed per page for knowledge pool and query result navigation

Import using Document label - Importing documents into Jupiter contains now an option to use the document name as its Jupiter label in addition to the previously incremented name

Calendar Event Reminder - This feature notifies Jupiter users with the events on the calendar

Printing Function - This feature helps Jupiter users to print all the folders, documents as well as its contained sub-folders depending on user defined input level; and optionally dumping the markups layers to the printed images

Reference/Date Search - Form and advanced search that require searching using date/reference items now appear as calendar/list to choose the required values

Microsoft Office 2003 supports - J-Office now supports Microsoft Office 2003

Save Process Instance - Gives the ability to save the process instance data before starting it, so importing/creating folders and documents will not reset the typed data

Transfer Work item - Transfer a work item to another user displays a list to select the person who will receive the work item

Last Login Information - Jupiter now recognizes the last login information for the username and language

Index Class View Area - A new option has been added in Jupiter settings to minimize/maximize the index class view area

Document Full Path - While navigating through the Enterprise Contents (Folder and Documents), user can see the full path of each item being displayed
